1. Tell us a little bit about your company.
At ROUGE Fine Catering our focus is on delivering fresh, stylish, world-class cuisine. This philosophy has made ROUGE one of largest and most sought after caterers in Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia, earning us multiple awards and accolades in the wedding industry. Rather than offering our clients a choice of “one size fits all” packages, we prefer to create unique menus for each of them that meets their vision, dietary preferences & budget.
2. What sets you apart from other vendors within your line of work?
The way we work is truly unique. Although we are a large caterer, we still operate like a boutique caterer and our clients truly benefit from that. Each client is assigned an event manager and a chef whose sole responsibility that day is making the client’s event perfect Additionally, we do all our cooking on-site, which promises your guests a restaurant quality meal (unlike other caterers who prepare your meal hours ahead of time at their facility or choose to just “finish” the food on-site).
3. What’s your favorite part about a wedding?
As cliché as it sounds, our favorite part of the wedding is saying goodbye to the happy couple at the end of the night. We have worked so closely with the couple throughout the planning process and they are always so grateful and emotional at the end. There is just something so special about that moment… it’s hard to explain!
4. What is something you wish couples knew?
Hiring reputable professionals is so important! There is a time and place to try out a new caterer or to have a friend create floral arrangements for you… your wedding day is just not the right one. We know that in the big scheme of things, a wedding is “just one day,” but it is a day you will always remember and having the right people in place is essential to its success.
5. Why do you think a couple should hire a planner?
While we are a “full-service” caterer, who prides ourselves on going well above the expectations of our clients, on-site our primary focus has to be on food and service. A planner is wonderful to help with those extra special touches that set a couple’s wedding apart and ultimately bring the client’s vision to life.
