When we heard that Pantone’s color of the year for 2015 was Marsala, we were reminded of some of our favorite things: the warmth of a glass of earthy red wine enjoyed at the end of a long day, the color of a perfectly ripe pomegranate, bursting with flavor and juice, and who could forget our intern’s favorite lipstick shade that she feels is appropriate for every occasion? Needless to say, we are in love! Pantone calls Marsala hearty and we couldn’t agree more. We feel so inspired by this robust color and are excited to share with you how we hope to use it in our upcoming weddings!
What we love most about Marsala is its versatility. Look how it can be paired with pretty colors like dusty rose and peach to liven up a spring table scape. Couple it with earthy greens and browns to make any fall wedding feel warm and rustic or, our personal favorite, introduce gold hues to compliment a winter wedding perfectly.
Whether you’re hoping to incorporate this punchy color into your wedding design or are just hoping to score that perfect shade of nail polish, we absolutely agree with Pantone that Marsala most certainly is the go-to color for 2015!
