We were so honored to have been asked by Wedding411 on Demand to compete in The Ultimate Wedding Giveaway. It all started back in January when couples submitted their love stories. From about a 1,000 applicants, 3 were chosen by Wedding 411 and from there the contest took to Facebook for the public to vote. With lots of help from their friends and family, Brooke & Josh (you can find their story here) won something they never dreamed of, an estimated $65,000 wedding!
Each week the public gets to vote for one vendor (out of three) to participate in Brooke & Josh’s May 1st wedding. While Facebook was busy voting on their photographer and videographer (congratulations to Bradley Images, Inc. and Phyllis Marsh Video Productions for the win!), we were busy meeting with Brooke & Josh hearing all about their dream wedding. We met with them on Monday, February 17th at Ryliegh’s Oyster in Federal Hill (three short days after they won and still in shock). We had a few hours to hear all about what they had envisioned but weren’t sure how they would make it a reality before winning the wedding giveaway. It made us feel overjoyed to know we had the chance to help bring their aqua blue wedding to life.
As soon as our meeting was over, we could not wait to create an inspiration board to show Brooke and Josh along with all their family and friends… And of course you, our followers! We thought long and hard about the perfect color scheme for a bayside wedding at the gorgeous River House at Easton Club. Once we had that, the rest was easy (in relative terms). As we talked about the ombre cake they wished for to the textured linens.
Our “Bayside Glam” inspiration board was submitted to Wedding411 on Thursday morning and open to voting on Saturday morning at midnight. You can see our inspiration board below! 🙂 We were up against two other notable planners who put up some tough competition. We did what we could to let everyone know to help us win by “LIKE’ing our inspiration board but ultimately, it was up to the Facebook world. At midnight last night the voting was over and this morning we recieved a call from Karen at Wedding411 on Demand congratulating us on the win!! We were ecstatic and ready to start the journey of planning the wedding of Brooke & Josh’s dream. We’ll continue to post and update you on the status up until their big day, Thursday May 1st, 2014.
