In January of 2015, we began planning an Eastern Shore wedding for a beautiful couple. It all started when the sweetest bride-to-be, Kait, and her fun-loving mom walked into our studio to meet with us. We had an instant connection when she mentioned she was just engaged in Disney World. For those of you that don’t know me well, I grew up in what some refer to as a “Disney Family.” We love Disney.
Once Kait, Laurie, and I were done talking about our common love of Disney, we talked about Kait and Anthony’s story and her vision for the big day. Kait dreamed of an Eastern Shore wedding. A place where friends and family could enjoy a little weekend getaway to celebrate the love of two people uniting. The Tidewater Inn was the perfect backdrop to the start of their beginning as husband & wife. I’ll let the photos tell you the rest of the story.
AN EASTERN SHORE WEDDING
The First Look
One of the best things about being a wedding planner is witnessing special moments like the “first look.” Of course, we do not interfere, but help the photographer coordinate. I love watching the reaction of the groom when he sees his bride for the first time in an intimate setting. The first look is a chance for them to have a semi-private moment (I say semi-private because the photographer is snapping away to the side). This is important because before they know it, the last dance is playing.
Easton has many adorable backdrops all over its town, so it’s like a planner’s, and I would assume, a photographer’s dream.
We are still drooling over this custom cut sign from White Glove Rentals. It now hangs on the wall of Kait and Anthony’s home they have built.
Kait and Lauri were truly a dream to work with and their kindness and pure love of life radiates when you’re with them. We wish Kait and Anthony a lifetime of happiness.
