Today we’re introducing you to Jenn, an Event Stylist with Moore & Co.! Jenn has been with us for about five years now — I can hardly believe it!  We’re so lucky to have her on our team. She’s organized and cares so much about her couples and it shows every day!

Let’s hear from Jenn:

Jenn Growing Up

I grew up in a family of all girls just a little north of Baltimore in Perry Hall. We always had parties at our house, and they usually had really fun themes. I remember playing “wedding” with my Barbies non-stop when I was younger, so I guess you can say this has always been in my blood.

I started doing some event planning during an internship in my high school’s Development and Alumni office assisting with fundraising events. In college, I became Social Chair of my sorority, where I planned all parties and social events. I was also the chairperson of the college’s large annual gala, Birthday Ball. During the summers, I worked on all aspects of their annual fundraising gala, building dedications, smaller fundraising events, and donor cultivation events. I learned so much through this internship and really fell in love with event planning.

Post-College

I decided to further my love for planning events and turn it into a career. My first job out of college was with a non-profit organization planning national conferences and accreditation courses for first responders and medical professionals. Because I had only ever done events for non-profit organizations, I decided to go back to school and get my Master’s Degree in Non-profit Management. I ended up working at several non-profits over the years, planning fundraising events at each.

Jenn: Finding Her Passion

Over time, I started helping friends and family with their personal events and weddings. I soon realized that this is where my passion was. I loved working on events, but the fundraising (specifically, asking for money) part was not really my thing.

In 2015, I was at a vendor event in Baltimore and just happened to be seated with Bridget and Courtney. We began talking and really hit it off. They mentioned that they were in the market for an additional month-of planner and I jumped at the opportunity. Having a career in wedding planning is something I had always dreamed of!

Now

Fast forward five years, and I am now an Event Stylist and still LOVING everything about this job! I literally get to help plan the best day ever for people. One of my favorite parts of the entire process is watching everything come together on the day-of and see that happy couple enjoy the beginning of their lives together!

Jenn’s Own Love Story

I met my husband Tyler when we were in the first semester of our freshman year at college. We hung out at a party one night and talked all about our significant others back at home. After that night, we never spoke again (which is insane because we went to a super small school) until the week of graduation four years later. At that point, we were both single and the rest is history! We have been together ever since!

We got married in 2011 and have 2 adorable kiddos, Brandon who is 6 and Brinley who is 3. They certainly keep me on my toes, but I love them more than anything! I’m one of those moms that decorates and makes a big deal about every birthday and holiday, no matter how small (Orioles Opening Day, anyone?). I think I’ve worn off on my kids, too. They tend to talk about plans for their birthday parties year-round and come up with some very outlandish ideas. The apple apparently doesn’t fall far from the tree.

I love a good, unique theme that I can really go all out with… decorations, food, entertainment, you name it! When I’m not planning parties or entertaining, I love to shop, do crafts and DIY projects, and hang with family and friends!
